When we first read Tom Rubython’s outstanding biography on Ayrton Senna, we learned for the first time that he was a divorcee before he entered Formula 1.
In February 1981, Senna was married to Liliane Vasconcelos, then a 19-year-old who was a childhood friend of Ayrton’s. But the marriage lasted just two years, with Liliane finding that life in England as the wife of an aspiring Formula 1 driver wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.In fact, aside from the constant figures of his mother Nede and sister Viviane, there were actually three very significant women in his life…
After a season in British Formula Ford in 1981, the pair moved back to the UK to give their marriage a chance to survive, while Ayrton contemplated whether he should remain in motorsport or work for the family business. In the end, he did return to the UK in early 1982, and the marriage last a few months more before the pair quietly divorced.
Despite their marriage being so long ago, Liliane still has a strong relationship with the Senna family, although her role in Senna’s life is never mentioned in the SENNAdocumentary. She now works as a successful interior designer.
After separating with Liliane, Senna dated a few other women – although none was hugely serious – until he met Brazilian TV presenter, actress and singer Xuxa Meneghel.
The pair dated on and off for five years between 1988 and 1992, although she rarely accompanied him to Grands Prix because of her TV schedule.
Despite Xuxa having not been a part of Ayrton’s life for some time before his death, she was cast as the official widow at his funeral having been adored by the Senna family. In fact, at the Brazilian premiere of the SENNA documentary, she was snapped with Senna’s sister Viviane on the red carpet (pictured above).
Adriane Galisteu met Ayrton Senna at the 1993 Brazilian Grand Prix while working a PR role for McLaren sponsor Marlboro. For the rest of his life, the pair were an item, although the family disapproved of their relationship as they did not consider her of high enough social standing.
She was snubbed by the family after his death and later wrote a book titled My Life with Ayrton. Now 38, she enjoys a highly successful role as a TV presenter with an audience in the tens of millions.

Engraçado, a irmã do Senna se diz voltada a cuidar de pessoas carentes... que pessoas carentes são essas? Quando a vida lhe deu a oportunidade de realmente fazer o bem ela simplesmente virou a costas e preferiu valorizar o dinheiro e fama.
ResponderExcluirO que mais me intriga é ser tão visível mesmo após anos, notarmos o quanto Senna foi feliz ao lado de Adriane e tão infeliz ao lado de Xuxa. Essa sim é uma oportunista. Se aproveito daquele momento frágil da familia para humilhar a pessoa que fez o que ela jamais vai fazer por alguém.... Amar de Verdade!
Ainda por cima quer se fazer de vitima, dizendo que iria procurá-lo um dia antes de sua morte, que ele era o grande amor de sua vida, contado historias de seu passado que nessa altura do campeonato não necessitavam ser ditas... avá!
É isso que ela quer ensinar aos seus baixinhos? "Corram atrás dos comprometidos" "Destruam relacionamentos". Aliás tá todo mundo bem crescindinho néh, o público cresceu, e somente os antigos "baixinhos" a curtem.
Quem vive um grande amor não o deixa escorrer pelas mãos. Aposto que caso o Luciano Szafir venha a falacer ela vai dizer o mesmo.
Pra mim ela é uma dispeitada e invejosa pois, se quer participou tanto da vida do Senna quanto a Galisteu.
Voltando a irmã e a família do Senna, eles não respeitaram a vontade dele. Amaram antes de qualquer coisa sua vaidade e preconceito. ELE amava Adriane, e muito por sinal, ela o fez bem, estavam felizes e isso deveria ter sido levado em conta, tenho certeza que se ele esteve presente jamais permitiria qualquer crueldade com ela.
Pessoas não da familia que realmente conheciam Ayrton Senna se preocuparam com o que ele se preocuparia, cuidaram da Adriane e fizeram dela uma pessoa forte e a ajudaram a superar a situação horrível que passou. Pois, perder seu primeiro amor, ser desprezada pela familia dele e ainda ser humilhada por uma despeitada que se aproveitou de seu sucesso passageiro, mesmo porque não é o mesmo hoje em dia, não deve ter sido nada fácil.
Não sei como a família Senna convive com isso, porque depois de tempos terem que conviverem com Adriane Galisteu que se tornou uma vencedora, que foi a única pessoa que realmente fez o Senna viver uma vida feliz e que hoje é um dos símbolos de beleza do país, no minimo deve pesar na consciência ou incomoda-los.
Tenho verdadeira admiração e respeito pela Galisteu, conseguiu seguir em frente e ainda conseguiu perdoar.
O fato é, ELE a escolheu, nada nem ninguém poderá apagar o que Ayrton Senna viveu com Adriane Galisteu, um amor puro, verdadeiro e que se perdurou para sempre, pois, ele se foi amando somente ELA - Adriane Galisteu.
Isso ninguém vai mudar, ficou para ETERNIDADE!
